By uploading your project submission form for any of the festival season contest categories through the submission platform, you agree to both their Terms and Conditions as well as the CTFF Terms and Conditions presented on this page. As it is customary, you also agree to uphold any and all laws regarding copyright infringement. In other words, you must be the owner of any film, trailer, screenplay, and or photograph/image you submit to any contest category. If you are not the authorized representative, then you agree that by submitting the unauthorized works, you are liable for any copyright violations that can, and in most cases will, result in civil penalties and or legal action by the authorized owner of said infringed property.
CTFF RESERVATION OF RIGHTS
If you are an owner of a film, screenplay, or photo/photo series you may use this festival to promote yourself, and enter your projects into contest categories to earn exemplary awards that will gain you more exposure in the industry. To submit your projects, or edit your existing projects on this website, you must have the right to submit, and you warrant that the information contained in your submission is true and accurate. You agree to grant us a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to display the project on this website. You also agree to exercise the copyright, publicity, and festival rights you have been granted when providing achievement information on your websites and social media platforms. We will seek your permission for any usage of your information or materials beyond this website, other than where your materials can freely be accessed from public streaming sites that you have or will upload your achievement information to. All content provided for your project listed on this website comes is drawn from the information you provided to FilmFreeway on your submission form, and is believed to be accurate and true - void of any falsification about awards you have won, or achievements you have made in the industry thus far. That said your project/information provided to us is you, and contains projects and information that are the property of you, the respective owner.
All copyrighted content is protected by U.S. and international copyright and intellectual property laws, and does not constitute material in the public domain. CREEPY TREE FILM FESTIVAL shares films, videos and images that have been shared on public streaming websites, such as YouTube, Vimeo, and Google Images. We will only use films that have accessible embed codes for sharing on exterior websites away from that of its original location. We will only select and post films in our channels that are on public streaming sites by their respective owners, and therefore claims no rights to the films, videos, and or images represented on this website, except for those created by us. Additionally, CREEPY TREE FILM FESTIVAL does not work to make a monetary gain from the films, videos represented for inspiration, but rather offers a link to their users, in other words, no films or images have been downloaded and uploaded to this website, and no monetary gain has been established through contract or affiliated agreement. All issues concerning a potential unknown allowance for their viewers to embed their short films to an exterior website, either through human error or through the hosting site of the original provider of the publicly shared films or videos, should contact, and have their concerns addressed by the website hosting said creative works.
However, if you are the copyright owner of a film or video curated on this website, and want the film, video, or image to be removed from the viewing allowances of your prospective fans, please observe the conditional requirements as they follow. You agree to these terms when submitting your project(s) to the festival, or through use of the website for entertainment purposes.
CREEPY TREE FILM FESTIVAL respects your privacy and will do everything in their power to establish and maintain a safe and secure website. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. You can visit and enjoy our website without disclosing any personal information about yourself. However, we offer some special services, and for these services to work properly we will need you to share with us certain, limited personal information about yourself. We collect information from you when you sign up to our newsletter, respond to a survey, or when you fill out a submission form through FilmFreeway for one of our creepy contest categories via festival season.
When submitting your submission form CREEPY TREE FILM FESTIVAL uses the information you provide about yourself to complete purchases and register you for your selected contest category(s). Your information is also used to inform you when your submission form has been received, and whether you have been officially selected or chosen as a CTEA recipient. We also will use your profile picture, poster or project cover, and your bio to create your CTEA Profile if selected. We do not share any of your personal information with outside parties (i.e. address, phone number, etc.). We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive and/or to share festival information with you if you have signed up to the CTFF Newsletter. These emails are not shared with outside parties. Additionally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also receiving your permission, or providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated actions (i.e. sharing your contact information with an industry affiliate on your behalf to generate opportunities).
